Describe your role in 2-3 sentences: My role can either be described in a book, or a movie title, I'm not sure I can wrap it in 2-3 sentences. So I'll go with movie title: Everything, Everywhere, All at Once. What is the most unexpected skill you use in your job? Selflessness, consistency, and patience. Not one skill, but several attributes all very consistent with my role at home as a mom. It's my job to help others shine, namely Board and leadership (very similar to parenting). With transitions in leadership and very diverse skills, interests, and time availability of PBSA volunteer leaders it's also my job to be patient and consistent so PBSA remains consistent for the membership while adding the new skills and attributes of our then-current leadership. Also, menu-planning and catering orders - something I never thought I would be doing. Describe your personality in three words: • Impatient • Conscientious • Honest Something you loved as a child and still love now: Dogs, horses, and vacations. What would your job theme song be? "Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson & "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" by Daft Punk. What is the best part of your role with PBSA? That's easy, the people. The vast majority of PBSA people – members, teammates, and partners are here because they want to be here. Being a member of PBSA or on the staff team is a choice and everyone here has chosen to be here. I'm so lucky I get to work by, with, and for people who choose to be here. What is your favourite snack? Wine and chocolate – specifically cookies or bars. Favourite Movie: Sweet Home Alabama. Kimberly McKenna, Marketing & Communications Specialist Time with PBSA: 6 months. Describe your role in 2-3 sentences: I connect the dots between background screening professionals, the public, and our partners—crafting meaningful messages and content that educates, while building credibility, clarity, and community amongst our industry. What is the most unexpected skill you use in your job? Coffee consumption - all cylinders, all the time. Describe your personality in three words: • Fun • Heartfelt • Diligent Something you loved as a child and still love now: Being barefoot outside. What would your job theme song be?
