Meet Your PBSA Team Continued from page 14 Michelle Leblond, Director of Operations Time with PBSA: As Staff, two years, as a volunteer, almost 15 years. Describe your role in 2-3 sentences: I work with all our operations to ensure the trains stay on the tracks, arrive on time into the station and have the right passengers onboard! This means oversight for the accreditation program, working directly with all our global Councils and many of our committees, delivering on the Association's strategic plan and supporting our Board, Executive Director and team the best I can. What is the most unexpected skill you use in your job? I think I've been surprised at how much I use my English degree – writing, revisions, proofing communications and all things to help us get information to and from members. Describe your personality in three words: • Productive • Resourceful • Fun Something you loved as a child and still love now: Naps. No hesitation. No Debate. What would your job theme song be? Given all the global work that I get to do I feel like "It's a Small World After All" seems appropriate…but also "Whatever it Takes" by Imagine Dragons and "We've Only Just Begun" by the Carpenters – for the title more than the lyrics. What is the best part of your role with PBSA? The variety and ways I get to work with our members. I feel that I've made a lot of friends over the years who have been former peers, committee members, vendors and partners and I love that this role lets me work with all of them and more. I also learn and grow with the different tasks that come across my desk. What is your favourite snack? Oh Henry Peanut Butter chocolate bars, Lays Salt & Vinegar chips – not ridged or rippled – often together – sweet, sour, salty – kind of like me! Favourite Movie: Pretty in Pink (from my youth) and Elf. Angela (Angi) Estes, Director of Programs & Volunteers Time with PBSA: 4 yrs (2016- 2020); This time around, 8 months. Describe your role in 2-3 sentences: My role includes working with the Accreditation program, PBSA educational webinars and other initiatives throughout the year. I also get to work with our amazing volunteers on the Background Screening Credentialing Council, Educational Resources Committee, Leadership Development Committee and the Volunteer Program Advisory Group. What is the most unexpected skill you use in your job? ….Still thinking on this one and will keep you posted. Describe your personality in three words: Positive, happy and organized with a little bit of surprise. Something you loved as a child and still love now: Camping in Northern Michigan. What would your job theme song be? "Good Day for a Good Day" by Michael Franti & Spearhead. What is the best part of your role with PBSA? Working with the PBSA team and volunteers.
